Adorable place. Nicely decorated. Beds were comfy, Roku TV, pet friendly and Kay was super nice. My only complaint is the wifi did not work well.
We stayed overnight here as part of our Harvest Host membership. Owner Angela and her adorable pooch are wonderful hosts! Do try the steakhouse next door. Very good with reasonable prices!!
Right off I40. Great remodeled rooms and I was calmly switched from two beds to one. Perfect. I could even plug in my Tesla at the RV power plug and left with a full charge. I did have the correct converter plug for the 240v plug.
If you’re looking for a great place to stay with real character along Route 66, this is the spot! The staff was friendly, and the room was fantastic. The owner shared that each room is uniquely themed after a state that Route 66 passes through. We stayed in the Missouri room this time, and we’re already planning to come back to try the others soon.
Highly recommend! 12/10. The rooms were cozy and spacious. The best night of sleep I have ever had on the road. The sheets were so soft and the pillows were perfect. Great water pressure too. Very reasonably priced. Sad we didn't get to stay longer. If we're ever this way again we will definitely be stopping by.
I was very impressed by the cleanliness and the hospitality that the manager gave. The beds are very comfy. The linens and towels are high quality as well. The room was simple, but very nice. We will stay here whenever we’re near the area 100% of the time, especially with what the room rates are.
We stayed at Cactus Inn on the last night of a road trip sleeping in budget motels (and with appropriately low expectations); this was by far the best and most pleasurable experience. The room was a good size with a Route 66 state theme and charming mid-century furniture. The children especially appreciated the complimentary popcorn. Good beds, great shower, big TV, functioning Wi-Fi. Everyone happy. We were just passing though so didn’t have the chance to explore McLean, but if you’re looking for an economical and memorable stay, I would encourage you to avoid Amarillo and check into the Cactus Inn.
Weather Advisory had us looking for an alternative overnight RV campsite. Grateful to find this nice stop. Rates are great. 50 or 30amp service. Great Steakhouse in walking distance (next door). No frills. Clean and most accomdating hostess, Angela.
